The movie is based on Aaron Cross, a member of Operation Outcome, a US Defence Department Black Ops, who is tasked to reach a remote cabin at Alaska. During his journey, he is required to meet the vigorous exercises. When Cross is on his mission, the Blackbriar and Treadstone programs are publicly revealed, leading to the US Senate appointing Eric Byer, a colonel to investigate the issue. Byer takes some radical steps including planting a Drone. The story of Cross becomes more intriguing when Cross escapes the Drone, and as the movie progresses, different strands are revealed. 

The style statement of the characters is as interesting as the storyline of the movie.
