Businesses on Sanibel Island boarded up their windows on Sunday the 26th, in preparation for Isaac. However, most of those business remained open despite the plywood covering their storefronts. No one was expecting a lot of damage from the storm, but they thought they had better be safe than sorry.
On Monday, tourists were treated to high wind and incredible waves. None of it was damaging, but it was "Awesome to see."
Today, the plywood is gone and it's business as usual.
More storms are expected through the weekend. Sunday will fit its namesake, with further storming on Monday. Despite the storms, temperatures will be in the high 80s to low 90s.
