Wine is the epitome of understated luxury.
At boutique winery Linked Vineyards in Sonoma, the family-owned business takes the pleasure of wine very seriously. A hidden gem, the property sits on a hillside on the southwestern edge of Knight’s Valley. A spectacular view can be seen of both Napa and Sonoma Valleys.
World-class wine maker Luc Morlet specializes in being true to the vineyard, and every bottle rom Linked Vineyards is made with 100% estate Cabernet Sauvignon. A first glance at the dark ruby color fringed with mahogany suggests a wine of great character and complexity, and power with elegant notes. The nose is particularly intense, concentrated red and black fruit with hints of chocolate and tobacco, finely-framed by delicate oak notes. Each sip reveals a new flavor dimension; black currant, blueberry, dark Bing cherry and plum mingle with tobacco, leather, cocoa, black pepper, and allspice. Supple tannins dance around balanced acidity to give a silken finish that goes on and on. While the Linked Cabernet is drinking beautifully now, it has the potential to age 15-20 years past the vintage date.
Only 118 cases are produced a year for the true luxe consumer, and each bottle is hand numbered by either Jessica or Drew, and a record is kept about who acquired each one.
