Among the lush landscapes of Costa Rica, the newly opened Andaz Peninsula Papagayo is giving travelers another reason to visit its property, with the launch of their spa. Spread across 11,000 square feet, ONDA Spa offers treatments tailored to suit each patron’s individual skin types and needs.
The facility has nine treatment rooms—three outdoor and six indoor—and uses the healing power of water, natural local ingredients and organic Costa Rican ancestral remedies in their sessions. Each of the indoor rooms offer views of the forest and sea, and to really get you in the mood, guests get to pick a soundtrack to their day from a special music menu. Before you get started with your treatment, check out their list of therapeutic teas. Of their therapies, the ONDA CAMBIO signature treatment uses the region’s culture, senses and surrounding elements like fresh ocean water and local botanicals to offer revitalization and renewal to worn bodies. For couples, two of the three dual ONDA Suites are made just for you with a cozy soaking tub and private relaxation area perfect for some international canoodling. All spa guests will also have use of the facility services and amenities like the 24-hour fitness center, steam and shower rooms, and an outdoor plunge pool.
After an afternoon of relaxation, guests can choose to continue their experience with post-treatment additions like a calming scalp massage, soaking in a relaxing ONDA bath or by taking in the views on the spa’s idyllic relaxation terrace.
So far, the ratings for Andaz Peninsula Papagayo have been promising, so hopefully the spa lives up to the name that the property is starting to make for itself in the city.
