New York City has a brand new dinner show in town. Located inside The Tuscany Hotel, Sushi Roxx is set to provide a new take on the classic dinner theater experience. Diners are welcomed by the intimate bar area, complete with teak tables, rich chocolate bar stools and hand-blocked wallpaper donning beautiful dragons. Boutique cocktails creations are available along with a well-rounded beer, wine and liquor list.
As you venture past the hostess stand down the red carpet to the dining area, you will be intrigued by the fun Tokyo-esque décor featuring rows of 80 Maneki Neko Lucky Cat dancing behind the bar. Asian cityscapes dance across the room and gigantic sumo wrestlers peer down at you from above as part of the fun motif. The interior was designed by DeVinn Bruce, who is most known for his work at CO-OP Food & Drink in The Hotel on Rivington and Half & Half at The Hudson Hotel.
The sexy dining room is lined with high-back leather banquets, making every seat the best in the house. In the center of the room is a 14-person communal table, and the whole space is dressed in hues of red. POP ROXX is the new nightly show which offers Broadway-quality entertainment with staff performing to Top 40 hits choreographed by former Pussycat Dolls member Asia Nitollano.
Music is provided by Resident DJ Mocalicious, formerly of Beaumarchais, while fashion designer Betsey Johnson is the creative force behind the sexy outfits. The food is modern Asian Fusion provided by Sushi Chef Edwin Purnomo. The eclectic menu features their own creations of Salmon Tomato and signature rolls such as the White Dragon made with eel, pickled squash, avocado, cucumber and cream cheese. The staff favorite: Avocado Fries.
