Crystal Cruises has been in the news quite a bit this past year. In December of 2015 the brand added a seafaring yacht to their fleet and then debuted their on-demand, 12-seat private jet in the spring. But their newest announcement might be their most exciting yet for wanderlusters.
On Tuesday, the brand unveiled the interiors of its new 84-seat 777-200 plane which will take guests on round-the-world itineraries next year. Gray and sea foam hues color the luxurious cabins. Holding around 30 passengers at a time, the plane includes all lie-flat seats; amenities such as iPads, Bose headsets, and 24-inch flatscreen TV at every seat; a lounge, bar and dining area; and a 150-bottle wine cellar.
Passengers can embark on 14-, 21- or 48-day trips which will include around a dozen butlers from Crystal’s ships that have been trained in aircraft-safety. Of course, an aircraft this swanky deserves cuisine that is just as impressive. At the helm of the jet’s fare is Crystal’s corporate chef and is tasked with making the food Michelin-level. During the trips, guests will stay in luxury hotels and exclusive accommodations not typically open to the public.
According to the DailyMail, tickets for a 14-day hop-on hop-off ride on the plane will start at £38,478 (USD $50,000). No other rates have been released.
