City Winery is best known for its 300-seat live music venue and on-site winery. You may not realize that in addition to hosting musicians ranging from Edwin McCain to Kip Moore, they also offer a fun weekend brunch.
Conveniently located between the TD Garden and North End, this sprawling 20,000 square foot music venue has a 100-seat main dining room that serves up dishes with a Mediterranean flair (think white bean hummus and burrata with roasted beets).
We recently visited for brunch one weekend and got started with their signature “Pop Fizz Brunch,” a create-your-own mimosa tableside. A bottle of champagne arrived with all of the fixin’s, including pineapple, orange and cranberry juices as well as fresh herbs to complement. If you aren’t sure what you might like, try a wine flight, locally made cider from Harpoon Brewery or local craft brew.
For breakfast lovers, we recommend the lobster and brie omelet, a delicious combination served with a side of golden roasted potatoes. If you are in the mood for lunch, the juicy dry aged CW burger is one of the best in the city served on a house made everything bun and side of herb seasoned fries. Other brunch dishes include brioche French toast, a winemaker’s breakfast, kale Caesar salad, an impossible vegetarian burger and tortilla Espanola.
City Winery also offers wine tours and tastings. Be sure to also keep an eye out for their recently introduced winter menu.
