London's Most Expensive Hotel Reopens & Offers its Royal Suite for Just $47k Per Night

It has been 19 months since The Lanesborough shut its doors for its £80 million ($122M) renovation, but as of August, it has officially reopened. Being hailed as London’s most expensive luxury hotel—the cheapest room is £720 ($1,098) a night—the building’s new look has designer Alberto Pinto to thank. Known for his work on private residences and yachts, Pinto allows the space’s 18th century glamour to shine by getting rid of outdated materials and techniques, and bringing in modern technologies and gilded ceilings.
