Every year Nightclub & Bar Media Group compiles a lofty Top 100 list of America's best nightclub venues, identiyfing the best-of-the-best in terms of revenue. Serving as the ultimate must-visit guide for any partygoer, the 2014 list shows a record-breaking year for all of our favorite nighttime haunts—especially for Las Vegas and its 15 placings.
“With this year’s top clubs coming in significantly higher than year’s past, our Top 100 list once again proves the strength and energy of the nightlife industry,” says Jon Taffer, the president and host/executive producer of Spike TV's Bar Rescue. “Each year it’s exciting to see top nightlife destinations battle it out by bringing in the world’s hottest DJs and creating amazing, over-the-top experiences for their guests in hopes of topping the list.
It isn't very that surprising that Las Vegas venues take up seven spots in the top 10, with XS Nightclub and Hakkasan in first and second place boasting revenue totaling over $100 million. This marks the third consecutive year that XS has topped the list, but is the first time for newcomer Hakkasan Nightclub at MGM Grand. Vegas’ Marquee Nightclub came in at number three ($80-85M), TAO Las Vegas is fourth ($50-55M), and LIV in Miami Beach pops in at number five ($40-50M). Surrender Nightclub in Vegas slides in at number six ($40-45M), while LAVO New York took seventh ($30-35M), and Miami Beach's Story came in eighth ($25-30M). Las Vegas takes the last two spots, with Hyde Bellagio in ninth ($25-35M) and LAVO Las Vegas in tenth ($20-25M). When considering the top 10 alone, the combined revenue hits a staggering $1.36 billion.
The top 100 winners will be honored at the 30th Anniversary Nightclub & Bar Show in Las Vegas March 30-April 1, including a special party at the winning venue XS Nightclub that will feature a performance by DJ Avicii.
