28-year-old British socialite, model and TV personality Tamara Ecclestone, daughter of Formula 1 billionaire Bernie Ecclestone, just celebrated her marriage to stockbroker Jay Rutland aboard one of the world’s most luxurious yachts. The pair chartered the 212-foot Silver Angel, built by Italy’s Benetti Yachts and rated at about $600,000 per week in St. Tropez on France’s Cote d’Azur, the London Daily Mail reports. The couple were wed at the five star Grand Hotel Saint Jean Cap Ferrat; Ecclestone’s father booked the entire building for the event at a cost of about $950,000. Guests at the $5.5 million celebration included Jason Statham, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Sean Connery, and Elton John — who also performed.
The yacht, owned by London socialite and decorator Lady Tina Green, has an Art Deco-inspired black, white and silver theme by Argent Design, in keeping with its name. The interior features high gloss dark oak with white onyx, silver leaf, and Lalique crystal accents, along with 7,500 square feet of marble. With luxury accommodation for 12 guests in 7 cabins, along with 19 crew members, Silver Angel’s highlights include a mosaic jet pool, expansive outdoor dining area, full beam aft deck lounge, a spacious swimming platform and numerous water toys. The luxe bathrooms feature solid marble bathtubs, hand-pounded silver-lined sinks and crystal mirrors.
