Luxury Cars: Bentley Motors, the luxury carriage maker vying to be the green giant of upscale luxury vehicles, announced its one-tank, dual-fuel system will be used in all 2011 Continental models. At the pumps, the dual-fuel 12-cylinder six-liter engine takes petro or E85 bio-ethanol or any mix of the two fuels. It never matters on the mix because all fuel comes from one tank.
Bentley’s 2012 plan is to reduce overall CO2 admissions and to introduce a new powertrain that offers substantial fuel savings. The firm also announced specific design details of its Mulsanne model. Bentley refers to its news flagstaff automobile as a unique fusion of sportiness, coach-built elegance and solidity that echoes the Bentley S -Type of the 1950s.
The Mulsanne features a frontal design with the traditional Bentley matrix grille and classic round inner headlamps with chrome surrounds. The renowned Flying B retractable radiator mascot, which is a must-have for many old-school traditionalists, is available as an option. It looks great with the big wheels, too.
