Yesterday James Bond fans woke up to some thrilling behind-the-scenes footage from the Spectre set in Rome. Posted on the official 007 website, the footage focuses on the custom-made autos used in the scene—an Aston Martin DB10 and a Jaguar C-X75. “I love the idea of this fantastic car being in a one-on-one battle with another incredible car from Jaguar, which is similarly extraordinary actually,” director Sam Mendes says of Aston Martin. “So it’s a cat-and-mouse game through the night time streets of Rome, at great speed, between two of the fastest cars in the world.”
“It’s amazing. It’s one of those scenes that’s going to be very iconic. Just with the two cars racing through the streets of Rome—I mean, how often do you see that? It’s one of those things you only see in a James Bond film,” says actor Dave Bautista, who plays Bond’s racing competitor, Mr. Hinx.
We may still have a long time to wait before the flick is finally released on November 6, but as long as behind-the-scenes photos and videos keep coming, at least it will be a pleasant wait.
