To celebrate the New York unveiling of the all new 2014 Maserati Quattroporte, Maserati of Manhattan (1 York Street) hosted a private VIP event for select media, trendsetters and loyal clients on Tuesday, April 2 at the Tribeca dealership.

The exclusive group of 150 guests in attendance enjoyed cocktails and Taste of H creative cuisines that are indigenous to Modena, Italy. The entire array of Maserati automobiles, including the gorgeous GranTurismo Convertible Range and the GranTurismo Sport Automatic, was also on display. Experience Auto Group owner Stuart Hayim was proud to welcome the 2014 Maserati Quattroporte to his dealerships, saying, “The Quattroporte is the most stunning automobiles I have ever seen with the likes of the original version which defined the super sport sedan in 1963." 2014 Maserati Quattroporte
The 2014 Maserati Quattroporte is a significant leap forward that not only sets the high-technology tone for the brand's upcoming range of new models, but also remains faithful to Maserati’s long history of luxury sports sedans. The powerful Maserati engines and large cabins are at the core of the Quattroporte’s impressive design, which also features a long, powerful nose and a concave Trident grille — establishing a clear link between current and historic models. 2014 Maserati Quattroporte
The newly-developed direct-injection engines boast a 523hp 3.8-litre V8 and a 404hp 3.0-litre V6, both of which are twin-turbocharged, designed by Maserati Powertrain and assembled by Ferrari at their plant in Maranello. All versions come equipped with the latest eight-speed automatic transmission developed with ZF.

The V8 is the fastest, most powerful and efficient four-door Maserati has ever built, reaching 60mph in 4.6 seconds and achieving a top speed of 191mph. The all-new architecture retains the Quattroporte’s great handling with the near 50/50 weight distribution, double-wishbone front suspension, and a state-of-the-art five-link rear suspension. The V6 twin-turbo Q4 All-Wheel Drive variant is capable of a top speed of 177mph. When traction is needed the “Q4” system is able to quickly redistribute torque from a full rear-wheel drive to a more balanced ratio between the front and rear wheels. 2014 Maserati Quattroporte
According to the brand, new standards of quality in design, development, fabrication and process controls are employed in the the Quattroporte, while traditional hand-crafted design continues throughout the auto's cabin. Traditional doesn't have to mean old though as technical features have taken a leap forward with a touch control screen, adjustable pedals, WLAN-based WiFi, and a 1,280 watt Bowers & Wilkins audio system with 15 optional speakers. 2014 Maserati Quattroporte
While the evening's focus was definitely on the cars, the experience was enhanced with authentic Italian fare by H on the Harbor. Cocktails were provided by sponsors Stoli Elite Vodka, Mionetto Prosecco and Peroni. PartyUp Productions provided the music and sexy blue LED décor in support of the “Light it Up Blue” Campaign from Autism Speaks.
