German-based Döttling traces its roots all the way back to 1919, when Ernst Döttling (the current CEO's great-grandfather) founded his first locksmith shop in Sindelfingen. Since then, the company of locksmiths and security experts have been crafting the finest products to keep your most precious belongings safe and sound. And their new Fusion model is no exception.
The Fusion is literally the fusing of the Döttling Liberty and an antique safe from their Legend series—two of their most popular products. "The latter was manufactured in Marseille, France, in 1820," states the company. "Its notable nail heads are reflected in the Liberty by rivets attached to a cover of the finest calfskin, creating a harmonious optical bridge spanning nearly two centuries."
The Liberty half, which is on the bottom, can be customized to feature a skull set with Swarovski crystals that work to hide the keypad—and to make your safe look tough, obviously. Inside you will find eight watch winders and three drawers. The upper Legend portion is pretty dramatic in appearance and holds six watch winders and a drawer inside. Considering security is Döttling's primary concern, the Fusion can also be hooked up to your home's alarm system.
With their other safes hitting prices of $130,000, we expect nothing less for this double trouble duo.
