Acquired by Volkswagen Group in 1998, Bentley Motors is a brand of luxury automobiles founded on the dedication to speed and power in transportation. Now, that dedication is translated into a variety of Bentley-labeled merchandise called “The Bentley Collection.” Enthusiasts are encouraged to peruse the online shop which offers them a number of Bentley-themed options; including Bentley shaped USB sticks and lapel pins. The merchandise does not just pertain to the automobile industry, in fact a few of the products available seem unrelated to cars, other than the attached Bentley label. For instance, $230 cufflinks, to the untrained eye, have very little to do with speed racing, but think about it: who needs cufflinks? People who drive Bentleys, that’s who. There’s also a $40 teddy bear, which, again may seem unrelated, but because he’s dressed as an old-time racer, things make sense again.
There are a good many products of course that could be produced by no one but Bentley themselves. A Miniature model of Queen Elizabeth II’s State Limousine is available in all its glory for a mere $300. While it's a steep price for a model car, considering the 1:18 scale and incredible attention to detail, it seems to be worth it.
Searching for the perfect holiday gift can seem impossible, but if you know any automobile enthusiasts, you need look no further than the Bentley website. You’re teenage son’s birthday is coming up and he’s been dropping Bentley hints. He’s probably been dreaming of the $104.25 “Flying B Paperweight” to keep the wind from disturbing his homework. So splurge and get him what he wants.
Also available are pens, keyrings, umbrellas, scarves, luggage and silk ties.
