Madonna will follow in the footsteps of music legends The Rolling Stones, The Who, U2 and many more (who could forget the infamous Janet Jackson performance/nip slip?) as the Super Bowl halftime entertainment, confirmed by E! News yesterday. Super Bowl XLVI will take place in Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium and air on NBC on February 5, 2012.
And if you thought Madonna wouldn’t be entertaining enough on her own, she will also be joined on the field by the high flying, unpredictable Cirque du Soleil performers and actress/model Jamie King, according to a statement released by the NFL and NBC. Coincidentally, Madonna will be releasing a new album soon with the first single to come out in February.
