Alessandra and Allegra Gucci's New York penthouse is now on the market for $35 million—lowered from its original price of $45 million—putting the residence slightly more in line with comparable properties. The sisters, who are not currently involved in the family business, inherited the flat after their father’s murder in 1995.

The 9,450 square foot duplex has 14-foot ceilings and is encompassed by 28 floor-to-ceiling windows, offering views of the famous New York City skyline from all four sides of the top of Olympic Tower, where it occupies both the 50th and 51st floors.

Built in 1973, the 14-room condominium has eight bedrooms, each fit with a limestone bathroom. Other rooms include a wood-paneled library with a 16-foot skylight and wood-burning fireplace, multiple open living rooms, and a staff kitchen.

When the Gucci family originally purchased the loft back in the ‘70s, they combined two units to make one, so naturally there is still a private elevator connecting the two spaces. Appropriate for one of fashion’s biggest names, the master suite is said to have a rather large dressing room. Other building amenities include a doorman and elevator attendant. Olympic Tower is located near Rockefeller Center in Midtown East. The home is officially listed with Brown Harris Stevens.
