Ceramic is always supposed to be better, right? Well, at least that's true with curling irons — and it just may be true for speakers too. Brooklyn designer Joey Roth created these minimalist speakers using hand-crafted ceramic from Taiwan, with custom-made drivers and a Tripath amplifier. The design strives to evoke post-modern art, putting the construction materials on display instead of encasing them in a plastic façade — like Baltic birch, cork, sheet metal and cast iron. They promise a high-resolution sound that will make the differences between MP3 and CD audible, able to connect directly to digital music players. You can even use these with your turntable, computer, and television.
