Carter and Courtney Reum, the environmentally savvy siblings behind VeeV, recently planted one tree for each Treetini made throughout the month of April in honor of Earth Day. Several bars across the country participated in this cocktail movement.
If you can't get enough of this tree hugging love and you want to keep the Acai spirit alive, pick up your own bottle of VeeV and tip back Treetini's throughout the summer season. It's the perfect poolside cocktail and for every bottle sold the do-good-duo gives $1 towards the Brazilian Rainforest through the Sustainable Acai Project to ensure the safe harvest of açaí. Who wouldn't want to drink to that?
The twenty something brothers who once lived above a Brazilian restaurant in New York left high-flying financial posts in New York to catch some serious Southern Hemisphere waves. After a run in with acai (pronounced (ah-SIGH-ee) in Brazil, they came back from the beach with their boards and an intoxicating plan and headed west in search of greener pastures. They based themselves and the company in LA and started selling VeeV one bottle at a time at The Beverly Hills Hotel and other local hotel loading docks, selling bottle at a time out of the trunk of their car. The rest is eco-history.
The brothers have the only distillery that gets its energy from renewable wind energy and their VeeV 4 column distillation process uses 200% less energy than a traditional pot still. Their eco-enthusiasm carries over in to each and every sector of their business. All of their promotional materials are printed on recycled paper and made with soy ink.
Eco initiatives aside, VeeV has quickly become the perfect substitute for vodka and clear spirits. Made with 100% all natural ingredients and no additives it's a spirit made in mixology heaven, a dream canvas for many cocktails like their signature drinks, The Antioxidant, The Acai Martini, The Amazon and the Eco Mojito, which will have your taste buds buzzing.
