Cadillac hosted their very first cocktail party to celebrate the Oscars last night and with the iconic Chateau Marmont hotel as the setting, it was a big success. Guests mingled with celebrities throughout the hotel’s courtyard, where cocktail bars were never out of reach and DJ Michelle Pesce spun old school beats from David Bowie, Prince and The Violent Femmes.
Modern Family’s Ty Burrell was the first to grace the “black” carpet and revealed that he’ll be catching the award show from the comfort of his couch. Vampire Diaries’ Paul Wesley and Christoph Waltz made quick work of their entrance, stopping for a few pictures before heading into the intimate soirée. Kelly Rowland shared that she was most excited to hit up Elton John’s Oscar party come Sunday and even showed off a diamond necklace that was a gift from the prolific singer.
Other famous faces to hit the carpet included Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Oscar nominee Arthur Max (Production Design for The Martian), Allison Janney, Kate Walsh and Joanne Froggatt. Some celebs, like Matt Smith, chose to bypass the carpet entirely to sneak in unseen—though the former Doctor Who star was quick to be surrounding by admirers later on.
As the official sponsor of the Academy Awards, Cadillac sent their all-new 2016 CT6 luxury sedan to pick up VIP guests. They will also be debuting a new series of ads during Sunday’s broadcast that encourage us all to “Dare Greatly.”
