Paris the other day while filming a sexy new ad campaign for Chanel. Clad in a skintight, full-length bespoke beige leather catsuit specially designed for her by Karl Lagerfeld, Knightley sat astride a classic 1970s Ducati Super Sport painted to match. She also wore a custom helmet from Les Ateliers Ruby, the French luxury brand which collaborated with Lagerfeld on a series of haute couture helmets for Chanel a few seasons back.
Of course, Knightley also sported a bespoke pair of motorcycle boots and gloves to match, the whole a nod to Emma Peel of Avengers fame. The ad campaign was shot at Paris’ famed Place de la Concorde, stopping traffic in the process. In some shots she’s seen racing past a pair of men in black suits riding more modern machines. While Knightley has appeared in ads for Chanel fragrances in the past – she’s been the face of Coco Mademoiselle since 2006 – this marks her first foray into fashion for the iconic label.
