The trend of casting celebrity offspring continues as designer Hedi Slimane brings Dylan Brosnan and Jack Kilmer into the Saint Laurent fold as the faces of the new men’s midseason campaign. Sons of James Bond star Pierce Brosnan and Batman star Val Kilmer, respectively, 17-year-old Dylan and 19-year-old Jack, live up to their family lineage and look pretty dashing sporting the latest from the line. Photographed by Slimane, the two wear pieces from the brand’s “permanent collection” which, as the name implies, is a selection of staples for the brand including the Le Smoking Jacket, the L17 Motorcycle Jacket and the classic YSL Western shirt.
The youngest Kilmer, an up-and-coming actor who starred in Gia Coppola’s Palo Alto, has worked with the brand before, walking previously in the Spring/Summer 2015 show in Paris. Slimane reportedly cast Brosnan after spotting the student on the streets of Malibu (guess those good looks run in the family). No word on if Brosnan will be walking in future shows, but with the pair’s lanky good looks and rock’n’roll vibe—the basis for Slimane’s aesthetic—we’re sure to see more of the famous progenies in the future.
