Baselworld is coming up fast and right now we’re being treated to sneak previews of new timepieces to be released at the horology event. Held every year in Switzerland, this year is looking to be one of the best, with some of the most beautiful watches we’ve seen. This March, Ulysse Nardin is going to be releasing the new Dual Time Manufacture, a piece built entirely in-house with adjustable forward and backward secondary time zones.
This is a milestone for the company, as this watch will be one of the first to create a second time zone and date that can be moved forward and backward. Meant to be an easy-to-use piece, the Dual Time Manufacture has oversized dials, numbers and larger displays so that it’s both functional as well as cutting-edge.
The Ulysse Nardin manifested caliber UN-334 features a 48 hour power reserve, a silicon anchor, escape wheel and four hertz oscillator with 1.1.1 silicon balance spring for accuracy. Created to move smoother, require less lubrication and resist wear, the craftsmanship can be seen through the sapphire encased back.
The piece itself is water resistant up to 30 meters, is self-winding, and features two time zones to make worldwide travel easier. It features a 42mm case in either steel or 18 ct rose gold with a leather, steel, or rose gold strap. There is a Big Date display at 2 o’clock as well as a permanent home time at the 9 o’clock hour.
