Versace has released a new campaign for its newest fragrance for women, Eros Pour Femme. Casting supermodel Lara Stone—who is making a serious comeback after giving birth to her son last year—the images star the Dutch beauty posing next to a titanic sized bottle of the fragrance dressed like a Grecian goddess. Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott on location at Pinewood Studios in London, Stone is the ideal Versace woman dressed in a floor-length white gown with golden accents, a gold arm cuff, golden gladiator sandals—even her wind-blown locks are a dazzling hue of gold. “For me, [Stone] is the dream model for Eros Pour Femme—she is powerful and intense, with a strength of character that hits you as soon as you look into her eyes,” Donatella Versace told WWD. “Lara stands for a woman who is giving into desire, yet is also totally in control and gets what she wants.”
The new woman’s fragrance—hitting the line two years after its male counterpoint—is a rich scent with top notes of Calabrian bergamot and Sicilian lemon. The heart is filled with peony, jasmine and pomegranate, with base notes blending into a woody, musk finish. Created by not one, but three master perfumers from Firmenich, Alberto Morillas, Olivier Cresp and Nathalie Lorson, the fragrance is expected to be released this December and surpass its predecessor in sales. The golden bottle is encircled with the iconic Versace Greek keys and Medusa motifs and comes in a keepsake box that slides open from the side.
Versace Eros Pour Femme will be available in December and will be priced from €66-€121 (approx. $82-$150).
