Fellow beauty-lovers undoubtedly remember the huge fuss thrown over the Marc Jacobs Beauty release, or the the RiRi Hearts MAC collection or the NARS Guy Bourdin line—chances are good you went a little crazy and bought a good portion of, if not the entire, limited edition collection. Well tomorrow another collaboration line will be added to that list of must-haves—MAC Proenza Schouler. The designer name alone is enough to get our heart racing and we’ve been patiently waiting since its announcement last September. Since we haven’t heard anything since, other than that there would eventually be collaboration, we’d almost lost hope—but it’s finally here.
Debuting April 3, the limited-edition collection will consist of 15 items inspired by designs from the Spring 2010 Proenza Schouler runway. Consisting of blush, eyeliner, lipstick, lip pencils, nail lacquer and a brush, this lineup is bright and colorful, playing on oil-slick shades and playful pops of lime green and pink that make us want to grab a mirror and start primping. From Ocean City, a bright orange ombre blush to Primrose, a sheer berry lipstick, this collection will easily be an it-girl favorite. And if those plums are feeling a little ‘90s Kate Moss, know that it was done on purpose. “Its dark, gothic vibe is so sexy and nostalgic,” Jack McCollough tells Allure. “The color looks strong in the compact, but on the skin, it’s soft, muted and youthful, like you've just been running,” adds Lazaro Hernandez. A line by one of our favorite brands and we get to look like Kate Moss? Um, yeah, count us in.
