This season Olivier Rousteing cast Kendall and Kylie Jenner as the new faces of Balmain. After Kim and Kanye starred in a Balmain campaign late last year, it seems that the Jenners were the perfect pair for his sibling’s love campaign. But with a “Balmain Army” that includes names like the Jourdan Dunn, Rihanna, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Taylor Swift, Lily Aldridge and Chrissy Teigen, Rousteing didn’t just stop with one pair of famous sisters. The Balmain Fall/Winter 2015 campaign showcases siblings Gigi and Bella Hadid, Joan and Erika Smalls, and for the men’s campaign, brothers Armando and Fernando Cabral.
Photographed by Mario Sorrenti, the campaign is intended to capture the connection between family, and the love that exists between siblings. (Although the seductive pose of the Jenner sisters does make us raise our eyebrows just a bit.) “While I watched Mario capture [the Kardashian-West] kiss last fall, I was struck by the love and emotion that I was witnessing in front of me,” Rousteing announced in a statement. “I quickly concluded that a celebration of the unique and unconditional love of siblings is a natural progression from the spirit of last season.”
So far only the Jenner’s and Smalls’ images have been released, so we’ll have to keep our eye on Balmain while we wait for the Gigi and Bella Hadid photo unveiling.
