The daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, Lily-Rose Depp, has just been named as the face of Chanel’s newest campaign. The 16-year-old clearly has some outstanding genes, but the aspiring model has been garnering some attention recently with her front-row runway appearances and recent editorial shoot in Oyster Magazine. Depp seems to be following in her mother’s modeling footsteps, with Paradis having been named the face of Chanel’s Coco fragrance in 1990.
Depp was hand-selected and snapped by Karl Lagerfeld for the brand’s Fall/Winter 2015 eyewear campaign. “Lily-Rose is stunning, she’s a young girl from a new generation with all the qualities of a star,” Lagerfeld said in a release. It’s clear he’s a fan of the up-and-coming model—he also cast her in his recent Chanel Haute Couture show, which she attended with her mother and other fashion A-listers like Kristen Stewart, Rita Ora, Lara Stone, Geraldine Chaplin and Julianne Moore.
