We’re pretty sure everyone saw this coming. Katy Perry has just announced (via her Instagram account, naturally), that she will be the new face of Moschino. The singer has been seen everywhere with her close friend and Moschino designer Jeremy Scott over the past few months, so it was only a matter of time before the two creatives pulled together for a campaign collaboration. Since Scott presented his first collection for the brand last year, Perry has been sitting front row at his shows to offer her support. She often wears his work on the red carpet (sometimes with the designer in tow), and he even custom-made her Super Bowl costumes. We’ve got to say, these two are a match made in heaven.
In her Instagram post, Perry shows off the first of her Moschino images—a simple shot of her wearing a patchwork denim jacket and gold chains, rocking a messy ‘80s pixie cut. Photographed by Inez and Vinoodh and styled by Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, Perry looks like the perfect fashion muse, and we’re fairly certain Scott agrees. While there’s no word yet on when Perry’s Moschino ads will hit stands, we’re hoping she’ll share a few more snaps through her social media soon—knowing these two, this image will probably be her most demure look.
