Amy Poehler and Tiny Fey were not the only ladies that killed it at the 2015 Golden Globes. As the first big foray back into award season, celebs played it safe, arriving in gowns that were less than daring, but still dazzling. White was one of the most popular colors of the evening, and the crisp winter shade made its way down the carpet on some of the biggest names, from a skin-barring number on Sienna Miller to Kiera Knightly’s baby-bump covering Chanel gown. Yellow was also a surprisingly popular color, ranging from a soft pale hue to a bold canary shade. Classic favorites like silver and red were also big. Nothing stood out as a show-stopper, but to be fair, it has been a while since the last award season, and it appears celebs are slowly (and safely) working their way back onto the red-carpet. We’re hoping by the time the SAG Awards hit at the end of the month, some of our favorite risk-takers will have stepped up their game.
