Burberry released their new Spring/Summer 2014 campaign earlier this month, featuring fresh faces, relaxed styling and soft colors. Casting only British models, the campaign stars Jamie Campbell Bower, an actor and musician, and Leo Dobson, the lead singer of British Indie Rock band Childhood. Also appearing in the ads are Malaika Firth, Matilda Lowther, Neelam Johanl and Callum Ball, all previous Burberry models, and Jean Campbell, making her modeling debut. “There’s a distinctly English mood to this season – a gentle, effortless, romantic quality, brought to life by a cast of bright young British talent,” said Christopher Bailey, Burberry’s Chief Creative Officer.
The seven sit casually clad in their unstructured trenches, surrounded by some of Burberry’s colors for spring. With an upcoming collection that’s meant to be light, the designs will be relaxed and soft, utilizing fabrics such as knits, silks, lace and cashmere. Brights and pastels will also play a major role in the new line which will be available online and in-stores from January 3, 2014.
