Pistol Panties has become a celebrity favorite, thanks to flattering cuts that are sexy and offer quirky takes on vintage styles. The Spring/Summer '11 Collection is perfect for swimwear lovers looking for a new look.
Launched in 2006 by swimwear expert Deborah Flemming, Pistol Panties has become an international hit, appearing on the well-toned bodies of celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker and Elle Macpherson and in the pages of fashion bible Vogue and other magazines including Elle and Marie Claire.
"I wanted to bring back vintage glamour into a modern swimsuit, so I took what is great about Latin American swimwear and adapted the shapes for the European market. When I lived in Miami everyone had at least 30 bikinis, so I know firsthand what works, and wanted to mix technical expertise with retro-glamour. The SS11 collection is all about 70s disco and Bianca Jagger," said Deborah Flemming.
Before starting Pistol Panties, Flemming designed everything from wedding dresses to costumes for Disney, with a diverse and fun sensibility that is reflected in the whimsy of Pistol Panties. The flirty silhouettes retain a distinct, classic feel, while also being fresh and fashion-forward.
In addition to Pistol Panties, Flemming has also introduced several new lines this year, including Disco lingerie, a collection inspired by her Disco swimwear line as well as Pistols, available online at ASOS, a youthful alternative to Pistol Panties. Back in 2009, Flemming created Little Pistols, a "mini-me" collection of styles for children with inspiration from the main line. Visit PistolPanties.com to see more.
