It looks like Gisele isn’t the only supermodel releasing a self-titled tome celebrating her life’s work. Today, Naomi Campbell released her own 496-page coffee table book that packs her 30-year career into a two-volume collector’s edition collection. Published by Taschen, the first volume will include professional images and career highlights from photographers like Mario Testino, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Richard Avedon, Patrick Demarchelier, Steven Meisel, and Bruce Weber. The second will contain autobiographical text and never-before-seen images from her personal life. Only 1,000 copies of this collection will be made available and each one will be personally autographed by Campbell. In true supermodel fashion, the book cover is a replica of her bust line, designed by British pop artist Allen Jones.
To celebrate the launch, Marc Jacobs and Taschen threw the supermodel a huge disco-themed party that included attendees like Bella Hadid, Anna Wintour, André Leon Talley, Uma Thurman, Zac Posen and the Hilton sisters, Paris and Nicky. “I think it’s so Naomi to have a disco theme! Of course she’s having her book launch party with a party,” Hadid told Vogue magazine. “I think it’s amazing!”
Naomi is available at Taschen and priced at $1,750.
