On November 6th, 2014 at the flagship Valentino Boutique on Fifth Avenue, the emperor of fashion himself signed copies of his newly released book by luxury publishing house Assouline “Valentino: At the Emperor’s Table”.
Notable guests included former editor of Vogue Andre Leon Tally, Giancarlo Giammetti, Carlos Souza, Anne Hathaway, Martine & Prosper Assouline, Carolina Herrera, Johannes Huebl and more. As friends and invited guests sipped on champagne and nibbled on macaroons, they checked out the latest Valentino Collections spanning 3 floors of the boutique.
The 240-page coffee table book portrays the refined and sophisticated world of Valentino Garavani, and features 220 images of remarkable table settings, art, antiques and recipes within the walls of Valentino’s luxe homes in Gstaad, London, Rome, New York, Paris and his home on the sea- his yacht. The foreword of the book was done by Andre Leon Tally, who was is jolly spirits as he talked to friends and fans that evening.
Valentino himself looked dapper in a sleek dark blue suit and tie, and was serenely calm with longtime friends Carlos Souza and Giancarlo Giammetti.
