PARIS, April 8 -- The Purple Passport, a web-based guide to the world's most exciting cities, is offering its eBook The Purple Passport to Paris for free today in the Amazon store in celebration of the holiday weekend.The eBook guide packages The Purple Passport’s handpicked recommendations in a convenient, user-friendly, and mobile format.

Featuring the choicesthotels,restaurants,spas,nightlife spots,shops, andactivities in these grand European capitals,the downloadable guide helps on-the-go locals and travelers plan distinctive city experiences.Organized by neighborhood for easy navigation, the eBook also includes helpful maps and city-orienting information about transportation, customs, and seasonal highlights.

While designed for mobile devices and eReaders including the Kindle and Kindle apps for iPhone/iPad and Android phones/tablets, they can also be downloaded to Mac and PC computers.

The Purple Passport’s eBook travel series currently features titles covering London, Paris, Los Angeles, and Palm Beach, and will soon be joined by ones for other cities featured on the website. Users of the website can also take advantage of the site's unique functionality features, including mapping and trip planning tools. Founders Jennifer Garcia-Alonso and Emily C. Brands launched The Purple Passport in 2010 with online guides to London, Beijing, and Los Angeles. Palm Beach and Paris followed in 2011 and New York City followed in 2012; guides to Taipei and Washington, DC are forthcoming.
